MATCH PREVIEW     

It will be a new chapter in one of the fiercest rivalries in the T20 Blast as Somerset take on Surrey. The two sides have won a game each in the last seven seasons and been at each other's throats. Somerset topped the points table with a good season, losing only twice. Surrey has big names in the squad, and the players are in good form. It will be a great contest between the bat and the ball as neither team will like to pack their bags after this game.  

Somerset Preview      

It has been an excellent campaign for Lewis Gregory's side this season. They dominated during the league stage with 12 wins in 14 games. They come here with a 5-wicket win against the Notts Outlaws. They are up against a very strong side in this contest, and Gregory would like to see a determined effort from his players as they look to make it to the final for the sixth time.  

Will Smeed has played well, scoring 493 runs, and he will look to deliver a good start in this game along with Tom Banton. The middle order has players in good form, and they will expect runs from Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Abell, and Sean Dickson. Lewis Gregory, Ben Green, and Craig Overton are good hitters who will look to score quick runs in this game.   

Craig Overton and Matt Henry come here after a strong performance in the last game, and they must strike early to put Surrey on the backfoot. Ben Green has had a good season, with 27 wickets. He will look to do well in the middle overs alongside the experienced Ish Sodhi. Jack Brooks and Gregory complete a strong bowling attack for the team.

Surrey Preview      

Chris Jordan's side put up a good show in their quarterfinal game against Lancashire, winning by 13 runs. Their top order has looked in good form and will make the side confident. They have a very experienced batting line-up, and Jordan would like his players to play to their advantage in this game.  

Will Jacks has made more than 500 runs this year and will look to set up a big partnership with Laurie Evans, who also is in good form. Jason Roy and Sam Curran bring a lot of experience to the middle order, and they will look to do well with Jamie Overton. Sunil Narine, Chris Jordan, and Jamie Smith add firepower to this line-up.  

The bowling attack must be on its toes in this game. They will need good spells from Will Jacks and Sam Curran. Sean Abbott bowled well in the last game and will look to repeat the same show with Chris Jordan in the middle overs. Narine is an experienced bowler and will look to do well with Daniel Moriarty in the supporting role.

It is the end of the season, and the pitches have got slower, and setting up a score on the board is always a challenge. The weather predictions for the day don't look good either, adding to the challenge for the batsmen. Thus, we believe the side winning the toss would choose to bowl first here. 

PITCH AND WEATHER CONDITIONS      

We might see rain interruptions during the game as the weatherman forecasts rain. There would be a lot of assistance for the bowlers in the early overs, and batsmen must come out with a measured approach. The side batting first would be happy to score 170 or more on the board. 

OUR PREDICTION      

Somerset has done well this season, and they have been the most consistent side. However, the side isn't comfortable playing in big venues with deep boundaries. Their batsmen have to adjust the game to win here. Surrey has big names on the side and players who can absorb pressure. It is a big advantage for them. We have seen thrilling contests between the two teams and expect the same here. But Surrey has depth in bowling, giving them a slight advantage.
