The Rajasthan Royals shared points with the Kolkata Knight Riders in the last game as incessant rains didn't allow play. The odds have dropped for the team with poor performances in the last few games. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru, in contrast, has surprised everyone with a massive turnaround. In the last game, they defeated the Chennai Super Kings to earn a berth in the playoffs. It's a knockout game, and both teams will do their best. With the stakes high for both teams, we expect a close contest.        

Rajasthan Royals Preview      

Sanju Samson's side will need to regain its confidence. They started the season with dominant performances, losing once in their first 11 games. Since then, the side hasn't won even once, and there has been a sharp drop in form and their odds on cricket-betting sites. Their last game against the Kolkata Knight Riders was abandoned due to rain. They face a resurgent team, and Samson would like to put the losses behind them and deliver a strong performance in this game.

The bowling attack must stand tall and deliver as the RCB batsmen come with high spirits. Nandre Burger and Trent Boult must get the early breakthroughs to put the side in a commanding position. Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal have tons of experience and must do well in this game. Avesh Khan and Sandeep Sharma must keep the scoring under check in the supporting roles.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru Preview      

Faf du Plessis and his men will be proud of their efforts this season. From being at the bottom of the points table and cricket betting apps for most of the season, they have won six consecutive games to earn a playoff berth. It was a heroic show from the side in the must-win game against the Chennai Super Kings. The 27-run win helped them finish ahead of CSK on the points table. Their opponents have struggled with form, and du Plessis will look to exploit that and win this game.  

Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis have provided good starts, and the team expects the same from them in this game. In the middle order, they have good strength and shall expect Rajat Patidar, Cameroon Green, and Dinesh Karthik to set up a big total. Glenn Maxwell and Mahipal Lamror are powerful strikers and complete a strong batting lineup for this team.   

Mohammad Siraj and Glenn Maxwell will look to use the new ball to its advantage and push the Rajasthan Royals' top order, which has lost its confidence on the back foot. Yash Dayal must bowl tight spells with Lockie Ferguson and Swapnil Singh in the middle overs, as they have been inconsistent. Karn Sharma and Green add variety to this bowling attack.

It won't be an easy wicket to set a score on. Slowness can make batting conditions challenging, and having a target score in mind improves the odds of success. The side winning the toss in this game won't hesitate to bowl first.    

PITCH AND WEATHER CONDITIONS      

We expect clear skies over Ahmedabad and warm and humid conditions. Batsmen must be watchful against the slowness and can do well on this track once they get their eyes set on it. Spinners get assistance from the surface, but we don't expect much from the surface for fast bowlers. The side batting first will be happy to have 180 runs on the board.

The Rajasthan Royals have hit a deadlock with ordinary performances in the last five games. The side will look to regain its form and confidence and play attacking cricket to win here. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won the last six games. Their top order has done well, and they will be confident. We expect a close contest, but RCB will have an edge.
