MATCH PREVIEW     

We are at the business end of The Hundred Men's Competition 2023, and cricket betting apps are on an overdrive. The Manchester Originals will face the Southern Brave in the Eliminator, and the winner shall proceed to the final to take on the Oval Invincibles. Incidentally, the two sides faced each other in their last league game, where the Southern Brave won by 6 wickets. They will look to draw confidence from that win. The Originals have done well, finishing second on the points table, and they won’t make it easy for the Southern Brave. We expect a close contest as the side losing here will see an end to its campaign.  

Manchester Originals Preview      

Jos Buttler would like to treat the last game’s result as an aberration. They have done well this year with the batting line-up in good form. Before the last game, the side had won three games where their batsmen dominated. Buttler would like his players to enter this contest with a positive mind and put up their best show in a bid to reach the final for the second consecutive season.   

Jos Buttler is the leading run-scorer in the tournament, with 298 runs to his credit. He will look to deliver a good start with Phillip Salt. In the middle order, Laurie Evans, Wayne Madsen, and Paul Walter have done well and they will look to put up a good show. Jamie Overton and Ashton Turner are good hitters and will look to add quick runs down the order.  

The bowlers fought hard in the last game, and the side will expect good spells from Josh Tongue and Joshua Little, whose return strengthens the bowling attack. Jamie Overton, Calvin Harrison, and Zaman Khan will feel confident after their good show in the last game and must deliver the goods. The side will also expect a good show from Walter and Turner.

Southern Brave Preview      

James Vince will be confident with his side’s win in the last game. It was a clinical show from the side where their key batsmen and bowlers did well. It will be a different ball game here, as both teams have high stakes. The Originals will play hard, and Vince would expect the senior players in the squad to rise to the occasion.  

The side will expect a good show from Devon Conway and Finn Allen, as the pair has been in excellent form. James Vince is having a great summer, and he will look to add runs in the middle order with Leus du Plooy and Joe Weatherley. Colin Ackermann, Chris Jordan, and Mitchell Santner make it a formidable batting line-up for the team.  

George Garton and Mitchell Santner bowled well in the last game, and the side will expect tight spells from them in this contest. Chris Jordan and Tymal Mills have years of experience, and the side will have big expectations from them. Ackermann and Rehan Ahmed’s overs shall be crucial as the Originals’ batters will take them on.

Manchester Originals have a formidable batting line-up and a bowling attack that has depth and variety. While the two teams are even with the bat, the Originals have a slightly stronger bowling attack, so most betting sites see them as favorites.
