It is the 1st Qualifier in the Caribbean Premier League 2023, and the Guyana Amazon Warriors will be up against the Trinbago Knight Riders. The Warriors have been in excellent form, losing only once this season. They have won both their games against the Knight Riders this year and have lost only once against them in the last six games. The Knight Riders have the strongest side on paper, and inconsistencies have let down the most destructive batting line-up but the side. While the cricket betting sites favor the Knight Riders with the odds, the Warriors won't surrender here after the kind of consistency we have seen from the side this year.  

Guyana Amazon Warriors Preview      

Imran Tahir's side has had a dream run this year. They have finished at the top of the points table and come into this game with an 88-run win against the Barbados Royals. They enjoy an excellent record against the Knight Riders and shall look to extend that. Tahir would like the key players in the side to stick to basics and take the side to victory.   

Saim Ayub has been in good form and will look to deliver a good start in this game along with Odean Smith. Shai Hope has made 407 runs this season and hit a hundred in the last game. He would like to add runs in the middle order with Shimron Hetmyer and Azam Khan. The lower middle order looks good, and the side expects runs from Kelvon Anderson, Keemo Paul, and Dwaine Pretorius.  

On the bowling front, the side will expect good spells with the new ball from Pretorius and Romario Shephard. Gudakesh Motie and Imran Tahir have troubled batsmen throughout the tournament and will look to repeat the same magic. Keemo Paul and Odean Smith complete a strong attack for the side.

Trinbago Knight Riders Preview      

Kieron Pollard would be upset with the 6-wicket loss in the last game. The star-studded batting line-up failed to deliver on a good batting surface. They have lost both their games against the Guyana Amazon Warriors this year, and the side will be under pressure in this game. Pollard would like to see the senior players in the team stand up to the challenge and take the side to the final.   

Apart from his one knock, Martin Guptill has struggled, and he must deliver a good start with Mark Deyal in this game. In the middle order, they will need a good show from Nicholas Pooran, Chadwick Walton, and Kieron Pollard. They have firepower in the lower middle order and expect runs from Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, and Akeal Hosein.  

The bowling attack will be at its full strength for this game, and they will expect a good spell with the new ball from Akeal Hosein and Jayden Seales. Sunil Narine is a champion bowler and has to weave his magic spell along with Waqar Salamkheil in the middle overs. The side will also need a good show from Ali Khan and Russell in this game.
